Counter Intelligence for Close Protection

Irrespective of the threat base to a Client, the aggressor will follow a typical planning cycle:

Target Selection
Planning
Deployment
The Attack
Escape
Exploitation

In order to be maximise their chances of success, an aggressor needs Intelligence on their Target.

A Target may not even be deemed suitable if the aggressor believes their chance of success is slight – perhaps because they have been detected during the initial phases of the planning cycle.  At all stages, the aggressor must expose themselves and therefore risks being detected by the surveillance-aware team.

At Athena Security and Intelligence Consultants (ASIC) Ltd. we are able to offer high grade Counter Intelligence/Counter-Surveillance training – geared specifically towards the Close Protection (CP) officer.  The aim of this training is to make the CP team more aware of surveillance and intelligence gathering methods in order to detect surveillance and/or disrupt the aggressor’s planning cycle – denying them the opportunity to launch their operation in the first place.
