Hostile Environment TrainingGlobalisation has resulted in many individuals - businessmen, journalists and contractors - working in environments and cultures that are completely alien to them. Most people would not consider entering a work situation at home, much less overseas, unless they were adequately trained, prepared and their company had taken measures to ensure that identified risks have been minimised. Athena Security & Intelligence Consultants (ASIC) Ltd. conduct bespoke, high quality training to teams or individuals operating in high risk theatres. Our Hostile Environment, Personal Security (HEPS) training course is designed to give the individual businessman, journalist, NGO or contractor - and their associated organisation, the tools to avoid and subsequently to survive situations that might otherwise result in catastrophe. Our residential training courses, based in a luxurious and discreet centre are taught by former UK Special Duties personnel who have many years combined experience of working, often covertly, in some of the worlds most dangerous locations. Training is a combination of classroom and practical exercises and is designed to maximise participation from all delegates. This is NOT a military course. It is a course designed for civilians — delivered by highly skilled, ex-military personnel. The skills taught on this course will save the lives of yourself or members of your team — ensuring a safe return home to your loved ones on the completion of your contract. Training is bespoke and can include : Hostage Awareness Training, Vehicle Husbandry/Maintenance, Off Road Driving Techniques, Counter/Anti Surveillance, Basic Weapons Handling, 'Contact Drills', First Responder Trauma Care, Route Planning/Navigation, Unarmed Combat, IED/Mines/UXO Awareness, Use of an Interpreter as well as Theatre Specific Intelligence Briefings. 'Live' weapons handling and range work can also be included if required - in which case the course will be delivered at our European or US partner facilities.
